Okay, it's a belated Christmas. My band's CDs came in the mail, so I've been handing out or selling those. I got a GameBoy Advance SP Onyx for Christmas, as well as quite a few other things. How childish of me to mention the one toy-like thing I received...

A couple weeks ago I took my car to Olympic Auto Body to get the temp work on the back done. It was $434, but the work is really pretty nice. If you examine it, you can still tell there's a couple problems, but for the most part, the back valance is straight and more importantly, I can and have put gas in my car.

I think that's about it for a decent update...

I promise, one of these days I'll post some good news...

Woe - the pety injustices of the world.

I had the estimator come out this morning to assess the damage caused by Wednesday's accident. He was fairly impressed by the car, as the previous estimators had been after the accident in April.

However, he checked out and recorded April's accident. Upon inquiry, come to find out that they'll be using that damage as "existing damage" to lower the value of the car. So, not only was I utterly screwed by that accident when I was dealing with the insurance companies over it, but now I'm going to get screwed again because I didn't receive enough reinbursement and haven't been able to save up enough to have that damage fixed.

However, the nice people at Olympic Autobody will be able to fix ALL of the problems with the car, and at very reasonable prices. Dan Leger, who works/runs the place, kind-of specializes in restoring and customizing classic automobiles. So, I'm really just running thru the paces with the insurance company this time.

Of course, it still doesn't make me happy that they'll be using a previous accident that has yet to be fully resolved as basis for lowering the value of my car. The damage is less this time than last, but even so, if they consider my car totaled again, and I have to go thru the whole process of reinspecting and reregistering and retitling my car, I'm going to be severely pissed.

And, of course, there isn't a fucking thing I can do about it, because it's all Washington State Law.

There are a lot of really fucking stupid laws, by the way. You hear me, Pooky?

My blog is full of bad news.

I don't really post when good stuff happens, so it seems like the only things that happen to me are bad.

I've just finished up taking care of the next volley of collectors and credit card agencies that seem to think that I'm someone with my name, but shit credit and evading collection. Once the whole SSN thing is straightened out, they leave me alone... til the next one comes calling.

Just last night, as I was admiring the sexy PT Cruiser in our garage, I thought about sending Heather McIntee a Christmas card, but I don't have her address, and it would probably be pretty dirty of me to call her and ask for it now. As you may recall, she's the one who hit my car on April 3rd, 2003, and then once she talked to Daddy, changed her claim... thus putting me thru about 6 months of hell with insurance companies.

So, today, at about 8:20am, Micah Raphael rear-ends me causing significant damage to the rollplate under my rear bumper, and gouging the trunk. The bumper itself, and all the lights in it, are all fine and dandy. Considering the past instance, I'm gonna guess the estimate here to be right around $1000.

So, knowing insurance companies, I'll probably get around $200. Fuck me.

What do you see when you close your eyes?
